Acting like a Christian
55The Traits of a Christian
We are told in the New Testament/Galatians,that the works of the flesh do not generate The Traits of a Christian and are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, wrath, and strife to name a few. If we are to grow Spiritually, we will become more like Christ and less like Adam. Then it proceeds to give us the traits of a Christian. These are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. Having said that, it is apparent that we cannot display the works of the flesh and say that we are a Christian. We must be full of love. This means that we love even those that are hard to love...and those people do exist. It means that we have joy even in circumstance where we want to cry. It means that even when we feel that life has handed us a lemon, we can still have faith and know that in the end, we will rejoice again. When we are seeking the spiritual traits we need to become better people, we can also questions to make sure we are on the right path in our life. It is always to our best interest to make sure we are not engaging in the forbidden. The Traits of a Christian always have a way of being noticed by others.
Love Never Fails
Happy Christian
To think that one is happy all the time is a little over the top whether Christian or not. I think that being a Christian does not make life go away. Life is life and there are ups and downs and days when we don't want to get up. On the other hand, being a Christian and a happy one means that we know no matter what comes our way, we will manage to survive the utmost trial. Have you ever noticed, even on a rainy day, if you smile at someone, they will usually smile back? The smile does not say, hey, I'm happy....I am living on cloud nine, it simply says that everyday, we have "something" to smile about. We are breathing, we are not laid up somewhere with our back or legs broken, we are not suffering from cancer, we can walk in the rain and know that God is taking care of us when there are so many who are less fortunate and cannot smile.
